Merry Christmas from the Hawkesbury Community Hubs!
14 December 2022
The Hawkesbury Community Hubs in Wilberforce, Colo Heights and St Albans became Festive Community Hubs as they celebrated 2022 in style with some wonderful community celebration events in December.
Around 110 people came along to Colo Heights. The community hall came alive with tinsel, balloons, and Christmas trees to get everyone in the spirit. The community enjoyed a relaxing evening with afternoon tea followed by kids playing laser tag and receiving fun basketball coaching by PCYC Hawkesbury followed by face painting and pizza. A big thank you to Colo Heights Progress Association for preparing the hall and gardens.
Around 80 people came to the party at The Pickled Wombat in St Albans with everyone dancing and singing to the live music. The Pickled Wombat team provided appetizing antipasto platters followed by gourmet pizzas. Thank you to the Pickled Wombat team for your support! (St Albans pictured above)
The Wilberforce School of Arts event was also well attended, kicking off with chair yoga, making Christmas decorations. A light lunch followed with a chance to reflect on the year that was.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Hubs in 2022. Despite multiple floods and COVID-19 waves, we managed to run over 180 Hubs across the Hawkesbury Community during 2022, and we will see you again next year!
The Hawkesbury Community Hubs will conclude for 2022 on Friday, 16 December and will return in 2023.
The Community Hubs team is planning the Hawkesbury Community Hubs program for next year. Your feedback, suggestions and ideas are welcome! Complete the survey at
