Have your say on Council’s draft Development Control Plan

20 January 2022

DCP graphicOne of Council’s key land use planning documents – our Development Control Plan, is being updated, and we want you to have your say.

The Development Control Plan helps support the Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan which governs the kind of development permitted in the Hawkesbury, ensuring economically, socially, culturally and environmentally sustainable development that is aesthetically pleasing, well designed, functional, sympathetic to our history and meets community expectations.

The Development Control Plan is being updated to ensure it adheres to current best-practice and incorporates recent development controls and standards.

The first stage of the draft Development Control Plan is on exhibition from Thursday, 20 January to Friday, 18 February. There will be six parts to the plan, the balance of which will be reported to Council this financial year.

The public is encouraged to have its say at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/DCP

Responses will be reported back to Council prior to the adoption of the Development Control Plan.
