Flood financial assistance

Flood affected residents and businesses in the Hawkesbury Local Government Area are eligible for financial assistance through Services Australia and Service NSW.

A Disaster Recovery Payment of $1000 per adult and $400 per child is available for those who have suffered significant loss or serious injury. If you’ve lost income because of the floods, the Disaster Recovery Allowance will also be available in those areas. Make sure you have a myGov account and Link Centrelink to your myGov account.

Financial support (in the form of concessional loans, transport subsidies or grants) is also available for small businesses, not-for-profits, sporting clubs and primary producers. See the assistance available at www.nsw.gov.au/disaster-recovery/natural-disaster-declarations
