Home solar installation workshop

Did you know that more than 20% of homes in the Hawkesbury already have solar systems installed on their rooftops? You can find out more at a free home solar workshop coming up in September.

Hawkesbury City Council is inviting local residents to a free community workshop titled Home Solar Installation on Sunday, 18 September 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor.

During the workshop you will gain valuable advice from an independent expert about solar and have the chance to ask questions.

Presenter Adam Corrigan, from Your Energy Friend, will give you the chance to better understand:

  • Energy efficiency
  • Solar: how solar systems work, different system sizes, what it might cost and what to look out for in a solar system
  • Batteries: how battery storage works, the cost, and what to look out for in a battery system
  • How to find a reputable contractor to install your system
  • Rebates and assistance.

This workshop is for residents who live in the Hawkesbury Local Government Area.

Workshop participants will be advised if the workshop is to change to an online Zoom format if COVID requirements change prior to the workshop date.
