Community Wellbeing and Resilience Grants

The Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network has released the second round of funding for Community Wellbeing and Resilience Grants. Grants up to $10,000 are available to support the wellbeing and resilience of flood impacted communities.

Hawkesbury City Council is running an online workshop on Tuesday, 20 September from 6pm to 8pm to walk through the application form and the criteria for this grant. Anyone who is new to grant writing and applications is encouraged to attend. Council is running the workshop in collaboration with iClick2Learn.

A range of activities and initiatives may be considered to support community-led wellbeing, including but not limited to:

• social connection events that bring the community together to build friendships and networks
• ·community events or workshops that promote resilience and reduce stigma associated with mental illness
• ·recovery focused projects that build community resilience and capacity
• ·sharing information about community resources and services and how to access them
• ·complementary and lifestyle interventions known to improve physical and mental health
• ·community education on topics such as managing stress, anxiety, depression, and stigma
• ·practical advice and skills development.

The page is consistently updated with new grant opportunities for the Hawkesbury community and includes brief descriptions of grants, funding amounts, who can apply, and the application closure dates. It is not an exhaustive list, but it is a good place to start looking for grant opportunities. Currently the grants range in value from $500 up to $200,000.
