The Naming of Roads and Places Policy aims to support names in providing a link between the community and the country or places in which the names appear. Names can also reflect the history of our communities.

The Policy supports recognition of First Nations peoples, cultures and histories in the naming of places in the public domain. The Policy applies to all parks, open spaces, roads and buildings owned, operated or managed by Hawkesbury City Council.

A copy of the Draft Naming of Roads and Places Policy can also be viewed at Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor during office hours 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Council will also receive submissions in writing, addressed to the General Manager, by mail to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146 Windsor NSW 2756, or by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au up to the close of business on Friday 27 January 2023.
