Celebrate the K-12 Hawkesbury Art Case 2023 exhibition

1 November 2023

Come along to see the vibrant talent and remarkable ability of young, local artists in a new exhibition at Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor.

Curated by young people in Year 10 at Hawkesbury High School, the inaugural exhibition features the remarkable artworks of students from various age groups, each exploring unique themes including the Long Neck Turtle, the river, the land, the people, the community, and the Hawkesbury.

These young artists have poured their hearts into expressing their perspectives and emotions through a diverse range of artistic mediums, from stunning paintings to thought-provoking photographs. The intention of this showcase was developed as a means of reflecting today's youth within our local community. This showcase was curated by Year 10 students from Hawkesbury High School, participating in the EVET program, designed to help and train students in developing and gaining vocational skills.

The opening of the exhibition K-12 Hawkesbury Art Case Competition will be held from 5pm to 6pm, Wednesday, 8 November at Hawkesbury Central Library, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor. All welcome.

The exhibition can be viewed during Hawkesbury Central Library’s open hours and continues until Sunday, 28 January 2024.
