Light Up Windsor Street Fair proves to be the biggest ever!

Light Up Windsor More than 18,000 people came along to Light Up Windsor Street Fair on Saturday evening, 2 December to celebrate Christmas and enjoy all the fanfare and yuletide fun!

Santa and Mrs Claus were a huge hit with the lighting of the Christmas Tree being a highlight of the evening, while Council’s award-winning ‘Find a Reindeer’ passport activity was great fun for all the kids and their families to go find the reindeer for a prize.

The ultimate prize winner was announced by the Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Sarah McMahon on the entertainment stage on the night. The prize was a $500 Hawkesbury family pack, which was a $100 Voucher for Richmond Regent Movie Theatre, $100 voucher for Cricca Restaurant, $100 voucher for Hillbilly Cider, $50 voucher for Twiins Ice Creamery Richmond, $50 Voucher for Windsor Ten Pin Bowling and $100 Hawkesbury Hamper.

The winner had found the bonus eighth reindeer – Rudolph – before the event as part of the Light Up Windsor event promotion. If you would like to participate in the ultimate prize draw in 2024, follow Council’s Facebook and Hawkesbury Events on Facebook to hear about it in advance!

A bumper 70 market stalls extended along Windsor Mall, George Street and Baker Street. Market stalls offered for sale Christmas decorations, homewares, pet gifts, handmade jewellery and more, plus many of the Windsor Mall shops, cafes and restaurants were open. Light Up Windsor

Light Up Windsor brings the community together and it is a major economic driver for local businesses. In 2022, Light Up Windsor injected a 30.38 per cent boost to the Windsor economy for total $1.373 million retail and dining and entertainment spend for the day.
