
Spring into school holiday fun at Hawkesbury Library, Museum and Gallery

Giant games, self-portraits, and full-moon dramas! Hawkesbury Library Service, Hawkesbury Regional Museum, and Hawkesbury Regional Gallery present a range of fun programs to keep the kids entertained during the spring school holidays.
All activities are for school-aged children (children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult). Bookings are required for most events and some events incur a small fee.

GIANT GAMES
Monday, 25 September to Sunday, 8 October – Free, all welcome!
Drop-in during library opening hours to play different giant games, such as chess, snakes and ladders, and connect4.

RECYCLED CREATIONS - Cardboard City

FUN FULL MOON WORKSHOP

The moon is 96.7% full on this day, but did you also know that a crater on the moon is named after the famous Windsor astronomer, John Tebbutt? Explore more lunar facts in this workshop and make a moon phase spinner.
BUILD A WEATHER STATION!

Renowned local scientist, John Tebbutt, accurately studied Windsor’s climate for over 50 years! You can learn how to track the weather and make your own weather station to take home: Including a rain gauge, barometer, and weathervane.

SELF PORTRAITS with feelings!
Wednesday 27 September, 10am to 11:30pm for ages 5-8 years $15 - Bookings essential via Eventbrite. Students inspired by the exhibition, Liam Benson: Virtue Without Stain will add texture and colour to a self-portrait. And create an imaginative and distinctive character or version of themselves.
FELT BROOCHES and BADGES

Make your mark in textiles! In this workshop, students create their own wearable works of art using simple embroidery techniques with beads and sequins.
EMBROIDER LIKE A LADY/BOSS
Until 22 October, 10am to 4pm daily (not Tue) Free - drop in - suitable for all ages!
Pick up a needle and thread to care for your wellbeing in our friendly Makerspace. Embellish tulle fabric with beads or decorate a paper plate. There is no right or wrong way to make your mark!
