A magical autumn school holiday program for kids!

School Holidays - Explore the MuseumMagic show, painting, mini archaeologists and more! Hawkesbury Library Service, Hawkesbury Regional Gallery and Hawkesbury Regional Museum are presenting a range of fun programs to keep the kids entertained during the Autumn school holidays. All activities are for school aged children (children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult). Bookings are required for some events and some workshops do incur a small fee.

HAWKESBURY LIBRARY SERVICE

Library workshops will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, Ground Floor, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite https://hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com or call 4560 4460.

YouthFest 2024: Friday, 12 April 4pm to 8pm

Drop into the Library/Gallery Pop-up at Richmond Park for Youthfest. There will be art makerspace activities, giant games to play and books to read. Free drop in event!

Movies @ the Library: Tuesday 16 and 23 April 2pm to 3:30pm

Watch and new release movie in a relaxed setting. Bring your own snacks and drinks. Check Eventbrite or call the library for the title that will be screening. For ages 5-16 years. Free – Bookings essential.

MR BAMBOOZLE - credited to Michael PattersonMr Bamboozle’s Magical Game Show: Wednesday, 24 April 10:30am to 11:30am

This show blends storytelling with baffling magic and crazy game show fun to challenge your thinking and imagination.

For ages 5-12 years. $5 – Bookings essential

Living Stories Creative Writing Workshop: Saturday, 20 April 9:30am to 11am

This workshop will gain budding authors confidence and skills in their creative writing.

For ages 10-15 years. Free – Bookings essential.

Paint a pet – portraits of animals: Wednesday,17 April 10:30am to 12:30pm

Draw inspiration from the Archibald Prize exhibition in the Gallery to make a pet portrait inspired by your favourite animal.

For ages 5-10 years. $15 – Bookings essential.

HAWKESBURY REGIONAL MUSEUM

Can you dig it? Mini Archaeologists: Thursday,18 April 10:30am to 12:30pm

In this workshop participants will explore the scientific way that archaeologists worked to uncover artefacts on display in the museum’s current exhibition.

For ages 5-10 years. $15 – Bookings essential.
