Neighbourhood Centre Week 2024Neighbourhood Centre Week will be celebrated in the Hawkesbury from 13 to 19 May 2024 with the theme ‘Stronger Together’.

Morning tea event Thursday, 16 May

Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury Inc. (Merana) and Richmond Community Services Inc (RCSI) will host a morning tea on Thursday, 16 May from 10am to 11.30am behind the offices of 20 West Market St Richmond or inside RCSI if raining. Celebrate with a delicious morning tea and entertainment, learn about these services and meet new people.

Combined Neighbourhood Centres event, Saturday, 18 May

Come along on Saturday, 18 May from 9am to 1pm to a combined Neighbourhood Centres Event at Richmond Park, Richmond. All welcome!  No bookings required.

Neighbourhood Centres from across the Hawkesbury will hold stalls to let community know what programs and services they offer.

There will be a range of community activities run by staff from many centres attending including:

  • Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury Inc. (Merana)
  • Richmond Community Services Inc.
  • North Richmond Community Centre
  • Glossodia Community Centre
  • Strong Nation Church
  • Bligh Park Community Centre
  • The Women’s Cottage
  • Peppercorn Services Inc.
  • Hawkesbury Community Outreach Services Inc.

These centers bring people from all walks of life together to connect, learn, and play. Through collaborative initiatives, inclusive programs, and shared spaces, they cultivate an environment where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every member contributes to the community.

Neighbourhood and Community Centres across New South Wales will hold events and activities leading up to and during the week of 13 to 19 May 2024.
