Reminder: Remote Area Collection Events

Remote Area Collection Event - photoFollowing the remote e-waste collections in March, Hawkesbury City Council’s next remote collections are coming up, with two FREE Problem Waste Remote Area Collection Events to be held across Colo Heights and the Macdonald Valley-St Albans areas.

Remote Area Collection Events aim to help the community dispose of unwanted problem waste to ensure the built and natural environments are safe and protected and enhanced for current and future generations.

Colo Heights – Sunday, 26 May 2024: Collection van will be visibly parked in the Rural Fire Services Station carpark at 3006 Putty Road Colo Heights between 10am and 11am.

Macdonald Valley – Sunday, 9 June 2024: Collection van will be visibly parked on Bulga Street, St Albans between 10am and 11am.

Accepted Items: Paint, gas bottles, fluoro globes and tubes, smoke detectors, motor oils, other oils, house-hold batteries, car batteries. Strict size limits apply, only household quantities accepted.

Council supports the Hawkesbury community and the environment by holding many sustainability events and educational workshops, with many being free events. Community members are encouraged to join in.
