Exhibition of Draft Section 7.12 Contribution Plan 2024

Future development in the Hawkesbury LGA will have an impact on the demand for local infrastructure to be provided by Council.

To meet the need for new and improved local infrastructure, Section 7.12 (formerly Section 94A) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, requires the payment of a monetary contribution in the form of a levy paid to a council which is calculated as a percentage of the proposed cost of the development. Councils then use these monetary contributions to fund new and improved local infrastructure.

An update has been made to the Hawkesbury Section 7.12 Contribution Plan (formerly Section 94A) to ensure that it reflects the types of infrastructure, both new and renewed, that any future development is likely to generate a need for and Council is inviting community members to view and comment on the Draft Plan.

The Draft Section 7.12 Contribution Plan and other supporting documentation is on public exhibition from Monday, 28 October to Monday, 25 November 2024 and can be viewed on Council’s website at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/draft-contribution-plan-2024This external link will open in a new window

A hard copy of the Draft Plan can also be viewed during the exhibition period at Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor from 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Council will receive submissions online or in writing addressed to the General Manager at Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146 Windsor NSW 2756, or by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au until close of business on Monday, 25 November 2024. All submissions will be considered.
