River Road, Wisemans Ferry

Transport for NSW will carry out essential maintenance work on the rock embankment adjacent to River Road, Wisemans Ferry from Tuesday 2 April 2024.

Work will be carried out over 3 day shifts and 35 night shifts between Tuesday 2 April and Friday 14 June 2024, weather permitting. The three days shifts will be at the beginning of the project and involve minor vegetation removal before commencing night shifts for the rock embankment work.

Daytime hours of work will be between Monday to Friday, 7am and 5pm. Night shift work hours will be between Sunday to Thursday, 8pm and 5am the next day. No work on Saturdays or Public Holidays.

Lane closures, stop slow traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 30km/hr will be in place and may affect travel times.

Access to Webbs Creek Ferry and residential properties will be maintained under traffic control.

Old Northern Road, Middle Dural to Maroota

Transport for NSW will carry out essential maintenance work on Old Northern Road between Wednesday 17 April and Friday 28 June 2024.

The work will involve replacing sections of asphalt and repainting road markings on Old Northern Road, in both directions, at the following locations:

- Old Northern Road between Mid Dural Road and Edwards Road, Middle Dural
- Old Northern Road between Wylds Road and Munros Lane, Arcadia
- Old Northern Road between Schwebel Lane and 2852 Old Northern Road, Glenorie
- Old Northern Road between 3900 Old Northern Road and Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota.

Work on Wisemans Ferry Road and Cattai Road will be completed before this work commences to ensure detour routes are not impacted.

Timeframe

The work will be carried out at night from Sunday to Thursday 8pm to 5am between Wednesday 17 April and Friday 28 June 2024, weather permitting.

The duration of asphalting work is as follows:
Between Mid Dural Road and Edwards Road, Middle Dural - 6 nights
Between Wylds Road and Munros Lane, Arcadia - 9 nights
Between Schwebel Lane and 2852 Old Northern Road, Glenorie - 13 nights
Between 3900 Old Northern Road and Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota - 22 nights
Further to the asphalting work, there will be an additional three night shifts of line marking at each location

Traffic changes and detours

As part of this work, TfNSW will need to close Old Northern Road between Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota and Galston Road, Dural. Detours will be in place.

Bells Line of Road

Transport for NSW's road maintenance service provider, Ventia, is carrying out pavement and slope repair work to return the road to full capacity.
This work will stabilise two damaged slopes on Bells Line of Road approximately 700m northwest and 1.2km southeast of Kurrajong Heights.

Work will take 16 weeks from 11 March up to 30 June 2024, weather permitting.

Work on the northwest slope will be from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 2pm Saturdays.
Work on the southeast slope will be at night from 8pm to 5am Sunday to Thursday. 

The Bells Line of Road will remain open while the work takes place. Traffic control and reduced speed limit will be in place.

Cattai Road, Wisemans Ferry Road & Old Northern Road

Transport for NSW will carry out essential maintenance on Cattai Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Old Northern Road between January and June 2024.

Wisemans Ferry Road and Cattai Road

Transport for NSW will carry out essential maintenance work on Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota and Cattai Road, Cattai between Tuesday 12 March and Friday 10 May 2024.

The work will involve replacing sections of asphalt and repainting road markings on the north and southbound lanes of both roads at the following locations:
- Wisemans Ferry Road between Weavers Road and Old Northern Road, Maroota
- Cattai Road between Millers Road and Cattai Creek, Cattai

Timeframe

The work will be carried out between Tuesday 12 March and Friday 10 May 2024, weather permitting. Workers will be on site for up to 30 night shifts at the Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota location and 16 night shifts at the Cattai Road, Cattai location. There will be an additional five night shifts of line marking at each location.

Work will be carried out from Sunday to Thursday between the hours of 8pm and 5am. No work on Friday nights, Saturdays or public holidays.

Traffic changes and detours

As part of this work, road closures will be required:
- Wisemans Ferry Road will be closed at Old Northern Road
- Cattai Road will be closed at Pitt Town Dural Road

Northbound traffic will need to detour via: Cattai Road, Pitt Town Road, Windsor Road, Showground Road, Pennant Street and Old Northern Road
Southbound traffic will need to detour via: Old Northern Road, Pennant Street, Showground Road, Windsor Road, Pitt Town Road and Cattai Road.
Access for residents on Cattai Road and Wisemans Ferry Road between the two closure points will be maintained under the direction of traffic controllers.
