An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and self-motivated Heritage Consultant to join EHC's growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

If you have 2-5 years experience in heritage management and conservation practice, with a background in architecture, planning, archaeology, or other similar and relevant fields, and keen to work in a small but dedicated and respected practice in northwest Sydney, undertaking some exciting and challenging projects - we’d love to hear from you!

You would need to be comfortable working closely within a small team as well as working independently when needed. You should have a passion for heritage management and conservation practice, have good ‘people skills’ and value building great relationships with our Clients and stakeholders, as well as being an all-round great fit within our team.

You should have experience in preparing complex heritage management documentation, a demonstrated ability to provide responsible, rational and creative expert heritage advice, and a good understanding of heritage legislation and the NSW heritage system generally.

You should also be willing to be involved in the full spectrum of office and project tasks, including general admin and have good time management skills.

We are looking for a customer-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the day to day operation of the restaurant. In this position you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating front of house staff and ensuring the smooth running of all food and beverage services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Manage restaurant operations

  • Oversee daily restaurant operation
  • Supervise the floor during meal services
  • Ensure Lochiel House service and sanitation standards are met
  • Manage general restaurant administration
  • Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met

2. Oversee front of house staff

  • Supervise, coordinate and train front of house staff members
  • Oversee staff activities and ensure productivity

3. Ensure exceptional customer service

  • Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered
  • Manage guest queries and complaints in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a supervisory/leadership role in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Motivation, passion and drive for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • A willingness to put in the effort to create an amazing dining experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

1 .  Supervise the preparation of food

  • Ensure all food is prepared as per food preparation requirements
  • Ensure meals are produced on time
  • Maintain stock levels of all kitchen supplies
  • Be available for functions as they arise to ensure that the food is prepared and served as required

2.  Planning

  • Create and develop menu concepts
  • Meet agreed food cost targets

3.  Oversee and supervise kitchen staff

  • Ensure all staff are aware of their duties and what is expected of them
  • Teach new staff skills they require to perform their roles to the required standard
  • Delegate duties to kitchen staff as per the menu requirements
  • Oversee and monitor the work of kitchen staff to ensure all tasks are done as required

4. Manage kitchen stocks

  • Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food preparation methods
  • Ensure proper hygiene storage methods are utilised to prevent food loss
  • Oversee ordering and control of stock levels

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a sous chef
