Kerbside Bulk Cleanup Collection
All Hawkesbury City Council residents with a domestic waste collection service provided by Council, can now book one Household CleanUp Service each financial year.
Bookings are essential. Call Councils contractor Cleanaway on 1300 889 527 to make your booking within 21 days of calling. Additional Household CleanUps can be booked by residents at a cost of $112.50 (inclusive of GST).
Materials must be stacked neatly and not exceed the 1.5 m3 (1.5m x 1m x 1m or one trailer load) of waste and can be handled safely by two people.
CleanUp materials are only to be placed on the kerb the night before the collection date. If materials are placed out earlier, you may incur an illegal dumping fine of up to $5000.
Items accepted include:

Scrap Metal (excluding car parts)
Tree stumps and trunks
Household furniture and appliances (including whitegoods)
Soils and sand
Mattresses (at a cost, see below)
Construction/Demolition waste (concrete, bricks, windows and building materials), Car parts or batteries
Branches and garden organics (tied into bundles)
Liquid or hazardous wastes (paints, oils, asbestos, sharps, gas bottles)
Timber (not exceeding 1.5m in length and 10cm in diameter)
Items longer than 2m in length
Mattress collection is now also available at a cost of $36 (inclusive of GST) in urban areas and $42.50 (inclusive of GST) in rural areas.
This service will be paid directly to the contractor by the customer via credit card at time of booking the service.
